Ways To Simplify Your Life
73Do you feel an overload in your life? - As if life is just way too cluttered and filled with stuff? It's a common feeling especially with a fast paced life to feel overwhelmed, where time has the uncanny ability to fly away, leaving you with little or none.
It is possible to give your soul a bit more breathing space, and these simple tips can encourage you in a trend of thought to make life a bit less cluttered.
- Get rid of physical clutter ~ Our physical environment affects our psyche, and if you can clear out stuff that make your physical space look and feel congested, you maybe surprised at how much better it makes you feel. The things around you are not necessarily garbage, but certain questions comes to mind - Do you really need them? Can you do without them? Would someone else have better use for those things?
- Organize your things ~ A neat and tidy environment encourages your mind to be likewise, so getting your things where they can be easily located and where the appearance is attractive is a plus. Things don't have to be super-neat but at least in a way where you can feel more at ease. In extreme cases, you can consider a professional organizer such as an interior designer.

- Say NO at times ~ Sometimes it is better to just say
"No", even when it is something that you really like doing. Having too
many commitments can leave you drained with less time to take care of
your affairs. It is good to be generous, but be aware of your personal
needs.
- Have a routine ~ No need to be highly
religious, but a basic routine for meals, sleep and exercise is
fundamental.
- Have time for personal meditation
~ Avoid making the mistake of neglecting personal reflection and
meditation. Meditation can involve taking time to write in your
journal, taking a walk with your dog or gliding stones in a lake. It
all depends on what your personal taste is.
- Get in
touch with nature ~ Modern technology is fabulous, but
unfortunately people can get so intertwined that their relationship with
nature is diminished. Regain your connection with nature through Nature Walks, Hiking, Camping, going to the Zoo and other activities that interest you.
- Make
early preparations for activities ~ Being in a hurry can put a strain on you, Avoid doing the rush as much as possible and practice pacing yourself.
- Speak your mind ~ simplify your relationships by being clear and tactful. Avoid the complexities of dishonesty on all its levels and be as free as possible.
- Eat healthy, Sleep well and Exercise ~ Three essentials that any sensible person won't deny the importance of. Though it is a challenge to have all three in good measure and quality, you owe it to your body and soul to do your best.
The aim is to strike and maintain a balance in your life, making sure that in all your wealth of activities you make sure to have time for yourself to re-energize. A sign that you are in control of your life, is when you demonstrate the power to simplify it.
